- Ans : Abdul Kalam - The Missile ManAbdul Kalam, the Indian scientist was born in Rameshwaram on October 15, 1931 and died in Shillong on July 27, 2015. Не was the leading scientist who developed India's missile and nuclear weapons programme. After getting a degree in aeronautical engineering, he joined DRDO, then he joined the ISRO as a project director of the SLV-III, the first satellite. launch which was designed and produced in India. Again he joined DRDO and produced a number of successful missiles, among them 'Agni' was the first intermediate-range ballistic missile launched in 1989. He was known as the 'Missile Man'. He used Science and Technology to transform India into a developed country. He served as a lecturer at several universities, wrote many books along with his autobiography, 'Wings of Fire'. He was bestowed upon many titles and awards by Government of India including the India's highest civilian award 'Bharat Ratna. He was the President of India for five years (2002 to 2007).

News Report :New Vision School Celebrated Yoga Day..-by News TeamNew Vision School, June 22: The students and teachers celebrated 'Yoga Day' with great enthusiasm. They all had gathered in the school hall at 7 am. The chief guest Vidyadhar Swami arrived and all welcomed him with great applause.It was an occasion to remember. Vidyadhar Swami was requested to enlighten the students by principal Joshi of New Vision School. He requested Swamiji to explain the importance of Yoga Day. Swamiji elaborated the importance and advantages of Yogasanas in details. He told that yoga is a holistic practice_ that includes physical postures, breath control, meditation and_ ethical principles. Developing a story:How I Foiled a RobberyOnce I was alone at my home. My parents had gone to other village to attend the wedding. I was studying for my S.S.C. Examination late at night. At about 1 'o clock, I heard some. suspicious sounds from the flat opposite to our flat.
I cautiously and silently peeped through the door of our flat. To my surprise, I saw two robust, masked men were trying to lift. the latch of the neighbour's flat. At once I remembered that Mr. Lobo and his family had gone to Goa to celebrate Christmas.. I saw that the miscreants already had entered Mr. Lobo's flat and had closed the door of that flat from inside. I quickly and quietly came out of my flat and bolted and locked Mr. Lobo's flat from outside.
I immediately informed the secretary of our society and some. other residents, on my mobile. The secretary called the police.. The robbers broke down the cupboard and collected the money. and gold jewellary. They were about to leave. But the police and some residents had gathered there quickly. The burglars were nabbed and were taken to the police station.
